New Evangelization

Somewhat in tandem with my IGNITUM TODAY piece are a few articles by Melinda Selmys, first in First Things, and then a clarification of sorts on her blog.  Both are worth reading.

"I'm Offended"

Indeed:

Offense is the catch phrase for a society that no longer believes in objective truth. A society that does not believe in objective truth can only validate its "principles" by how strongly they feel about something. Thus "I'm offended" is a criticism only if one holds to the same flimsy notion of what truth is.

As the video author says, if you are offended, that's your problem.  If you have something constructive to say, do so.
